Story behind the song
Dj coldcut went to a concert for bone thugs-n-harmony in austin,tx. He was mixing the show and bone brang out their opening act this white boy with all of these tats named johnny givens. Coldcut was hesitent at first seeing the white rapper enter the stage. As soon as he opened his mouth i knew this dude was something special, said dj coldcut. Johnny said hey, Can someone in this motherfucker tell me wherei'm at. The whole fuckin crowd erupted and he started into his theme song its johnny givens. I was blown away. Dude had more energy than the whole fuckin crowd, said coldcut. After the show i asked him to let me do some cool shit to his music. He gave me a cd and then walked away. I then went home and listened to the cd. I loved it. My boy had recorded a mixtape with d block and had 3 30 second freestyles that jadkiss had put down in his studio. I played him the song of johnny'y i picked and he was blown away. As soon as he gave me the jada files i went home and started crackin. Within 2 days i had remixed it with jada. I sent it to johnny and he called me personally and thanked me. It is the rawest and most origional song i have ever heard.
