Story behind the song
I wrote this song about 16 years ago, a falling out with my Mom inspired the lyrics. I sent it to my Mom, never heard anymore about it, until 10 years had past and my Mom was dying from ovarian cancer, and she came across my very raw recording of the song, and told me she would love to hear a professional demo of the song, being that by that time me and my husband had formed a band and had already put out a tape. We worked on the song for a surprise birthday present for my Mom and gave it to her on 12/28/00, she loved it, very tearful was her reaction. And she passed away exactly 13 days later. So the song means more to me now than when I had first written it.
