Story behind the song
While writing this song both Grizz and I saw the same vision. A vision of a young warrior on his knees with his arms opened and raised upward praying to the Creator. He was kneeling on the dry and parched ground of the plains that hadn’t been quenched by rain in a long time. The crops were withering and river beds and streams running low. The long hot and dry summer days had taking its toll on the people. The buffalo and other wild game had migrated to distant pastures for sustenance. His prayers were about to be answered as he knelt and prayed for days to the Creator to bring relief to his people. The long awaited rain would also bring back the Buffalo and wild game to their replenished hunting grounds and village.
