Ragtime, barbershop and hip-hop unite in this koo-koo krazy song. Subject matter is fairly orthodox, though. Also my rhymes-in-groups-of-four got a little predictable and contrived, but still, you can dance to it.

This guy is a crazy rapper who does some unconventional things sometimes.
I, Sore Thumb, am now what you listen to. You should probably list me among your favorite bands on myspace, and also make one of my songs play automatically and bother people who visit.

Story behind the song
I wrote this one time in the ghetto in the middle of a gang war in a tatto parlor in which all of the gangsters were getting curse words tattooed on their biceps.
Lyrics
A Whole New Monster Verse 1 Drop the beat on the unsuspecting, At very least, the sound you detect is interesting, It’s a fresh thing when I, Sore Thumb, start directing Compositions unlike what rap fans are expecting Disappointments beware if you imagined something similar To sounds that the radio listeners call familiar We’ll take hip-hop apart straight down to the interior, And build a new monster, you can judge if it’s superior. Here are the facts: MCs love the beaten trail, Some follow blindly, wearing shades and reading braile, But I can’t cling to the safety of the soon-to-be stale I’m willing to take risks, even if I’m doomed to fail Top sales are made by those whose ideas excel I’m not sure if mine do that, but hey, time will tell, And I will not sell out if they don’t work so well, I’ll keep it going, and give the concepts more time to gel Chorus Hey there anyone wanna hear the newest latest cheap imitation? This just isn’t your day. No sir, I’m not trying to make any claims at innovation I just like to play. Verse 2 OK, I confess, I don’t know what I’m doing I don’t myself understand the beats I’m barbecuing I’m just taking elements I’m not familiar with and gluing Them together till I’m not exactly sure what I’m brewing I just work with it until it fits my personal taste, With no way of knowing weather something ends up misplaced Too fast paced? Too rock-based? Too much bass in this case? Sorry guys, I judge by the sounds that I myself embrace. Yeah, I’m new to this, long time listener, first time caller Since I got my first DC Talk tape from my father I’ve been waiting to grab the microphone and holler To the sounds of a bigger, better, whole new monster Admittedly ignorant of what’s been done before, Can’t innovate proficiently, but I can explore Ideas that seem to me unlike the usual bore, And beyond that, well, that’s about all I’m good for Verse 3 Same hard sound plays everywhere I listen, It erodes my individualist ambitions, And I find myself wishin’ that my personal rendition Of the hip-hop sound was closer to the latest tradition ‘cause if that’s what they want to hear, I’m not on the radar What I play’s too far for comfort from the things they are And it turns my stomach in a knot to think if I stay far From the norm as I am, I may not have a prayer. But a prayer’s what I have, and though that may be all, If the good Lord should will me to succeed, I can’t fall, I can’t focus on failure; I must listen to the call, And keep marching on, even if I hit a brick wall Thus, I shall use the creativity I’ve been given To attempt to keep the monster fresh and energy-driven Until the day I use up all my original vision, Or the day my breath fails me, and I discontinue livin’
