We sometimes take for granted our true feelings we have for someone until their gone.
This song was written on Pow Wow grounds during an off weekend. My wife had gone to Canada for a sundance ceremony. It had gotten to quiet and unsettling staying at home so I decided to go to the grounds and spend some quality time with nature. While play my flute late one night under a clear calm and quiet sky along side my camp fire; my thoughts went to the sundance grounds. I could feel my wife’s presence as I was playing; and then an overwhelming feeling of loneliness and sadness overpowered me. It wasn’t till then did I realize that part of the uneasiness felt at home was her absence. She had already been gone for a week and I missed that interaction and companionship we share. As I played this song I let my feelings go with the flute and it brought me the realization of how much I was missing her. We sometimes take for granted our true feelings we have for someone until their gone. This song is for you Robin. Aho.
