Sister Venus (Original Version)
A soft-angst track about heroin addiction. Observationalist and heartfelt. This track was originally called WAH RUM! - see below - This, the original version differs just enough from the version on the next CD to warrant saving.

Story behind the song
This song dates back to 1995. It has been played by both of the bands I was in: Anathema Device & Murmur. Whilst the lyrics are virtually identical, the tune has been drastically re-written to encompass the subject matter.
Lyrics
As I watch you in your decay
Needle pierces skin, it feels OK
Do you like what you have become
You feel safe now, cause you've got that gun
You can't cope, you take in the night
'Copter spotlight and a blue flashing light
Sister Venus, her voice in my head
Candle shadows, asleep in her bed
Give it time
Inside this twisted system
Vodka & lime
A heartful of leaking pistons
Give it time
Drama & kitchen cynic
She was mine
A child of the re-hab clinic
To die for
To die for
But you don't die on my time.....
As I watch you in your decay
Needle pierces skin, it feels OK
Do you like what you have become
You feel safe now, cause you've still got that gun
