The ancient primal sounds of the flute are common to all tribes for tens of thousands of years. It touches us all deep in our heart of hearts and in the mystery of our soul from the beginning of time.
Echo Voice
The early French settlers of this area recorded in their journals that the Native people had many flutes made of river reeds and bone mostly. They used them not only for ceremony and courting, but also for entertainment and signaling. The settlers wrote in their logs and diaries that on the journey up the river to settle this pristine area they could hear the flutes signaling of their approach echoing down the river for miles. At night when they camped by the fire light they said they could hear the distant flutes all around them singing like birds and answering each others songs late into the evening.
When most people think of the Native American flute they think of the lone flute player on the edge of the Canyon someplace out west, but the ancient primal sounds of the flute are common to all tribes for tens of thousands of years. It touches us all deep in our heart of hearts and in the mystery of our soul from the beginning of time when father wind blew through the hollow branches of the trees making the mystical sounds of the breath of the Creator.
This was the inspiration behind the creation of Echo Voices.
