There was a man, who paid the price, of life for you and me
He was God's Son, the price he paid, was Calvary
Thirty pieces of silver, was the price that betrayed
Thirty pieces of silver, was the price of a lowly slave
Thus they valued our Master, when they plotted his fall
Thirty pieces of silver, for the Lord of us all.
Though he knew, that he must die, he suffered all the pain
And there he bore, our guilt and sin, he shouldered all the blame
When he looked down, from on the cross, he said "Father forgive"
I give my life, to ransom them, that they may live
And the wages for our sins, was the price that he paid
As he purchased our pardon, saving us from the darkest grave
How he suffered in agony, when they let his blood fall

When they laid, him in the tomb, they said that he was dead
