Story behind the song
Sometimes life feels like a stone in the shoe that just won't go away. The only thing you can do is shake your foot around until its in the most comfortable position and realize if you didn't have your shoes you wouldn't get far at all.
Lyrics
Got my Coat. But the threads are thin. Feelin the rain, feelin the wind. Woke from the dream, So far away, from the place I new, I'd one day stay. Feelin numb, but what can I do, but pick up the stone, for me and for you. So many days I've been gone, from the love you gave me, It was keeping me strong. chorus I don't want to carry, carry this stone verse They say the stone will give, I wonder if its true, I try to speak to the stone that I carry with you. I hear the stone it whispers of a better day, gives me strength for one more day. They say the stones so heavy, I see the stone so light, and the stone will change, if you look at it right. Did you ever see so many ways. chorus Can you carry the stone? Can you get through the day? Did you ever see, so many ways? repeat.
