Just me at the piano, wishing a lasting love to those who've been burned by it too many times.
Most anyone knows what a broken heart feels like. After a string of unsuccessful relationships, a friend was in the middle of suffering from one, and what was worse, I was the unwitting cause of it. This song was actually a Christmas gift, expressing my hopes that, even though I could not provide it in the desired way, a lasting love would be found.

Verse 1:
Love has never been easy for you –
Taking more than it ever returned –
And you try to move on,
But your heart holds you back,
So you stand on the bridges you burn.
And promises feel like a
Hole going nowhere,
And hope is a thorn in your soul.
(But I wish you…)
Chorus:
Love like Time –
Endless –
Breathless as moments,
I wish you Love that’s as
Sure as the years and as
Deep as Eternity –
I wish you
Love like Time.
Verse 2:
“Time heals all thing” – your words
Fall to the floor like a beautiful lie
That you try to believe,
But like dreams in the waking,
They shimmer, they fade – they die.
And you long for a Love that will
Shine like the sun, for a
Day when the dark never comes.
(And I wish you…)
Chorus:
Bridge:
Your philosophy tells you
Why waste your
Time counting on sand so elusive.
But Love’ll come and turn your hourglass
Sideways and
Say, “Forever”, stay forever –
(I wish you…)
Chorus:
