Smooth Soprano saxophone, piano, electronic and jazzy at the same time, relaxed but restless as two confronting enemies and a demo of our incoming album. For 10 days #1 Euro Electronica, reached #3 Electronica.
Smooth Soprano saxophone, piano, electronic and jazzy at the same time, relaxed and restless as two confronting enemies, which is exactly the story the song is telling.
This song was originally wrote as title theme for a TV b-movie soundtrack ("Minzione Impossibile", broadcasted by a local italian TV network) and kept apart when we started to work on our "A traveller...", but continuing our job on the new project, we thought "hey, it'd be great to take Nemesis to our new album!"...
This same track was used also in a live event (at half way between theater, musical and dance) where music was representing (as soundtrack) the "temptation of Judas Hiscariot" theme. The title, "Nemesis", from the greek "worse enemy" was somehow fitting as well as the music, representing the evil tempting the man.
Roberto plays with a La Voz "soft" reed, and the original Fremont mouthpiece, since the "Yamaha custom" of Roberto got broken right before we started to record (Roby's words are covered by official censorship... you could hear the thunder from 20 miles of distance and the city airport did close for 5 minutes for the stormlightning who followed)... luckily the original mouthpiece was good enough, as you may hear.
This song exists in 3 main versions. Here is proposed in the album version.
Highest charts position: # 3 (76,393 songs currently listed in Electronica).
Highest charts position in subgenre: # 1 (554 songs currently listed in Electronica > Euro).
