This track takes us back to the impossibly distant late 2003-early 2004 time period. By this time, I had a few production credits under my belt and I was testing the waters of rapping/performing. This particular track was the second song I performed on, ever. I wouldn't have jumped on the song myself had it not come together like it did. As I recall, I came up with the basic beat idea and first few lines in like 20 minutes. Once the music was fleshed out, the rest of the lyrics came very easily, so I said "fuck it" and went for it, although my confidence level regarding its quality was somewhat low. (A common roadblock at that time in my career/life in general)
So about this 2025 version. The entire musical arrangement was reworked from top to bottom. Replaced mediocre-bad sounds with higher quality ones. Inserted additional instrumentation and SFX for improved texture. Although I didn't have the original isolated vocal tracks available, I did what I could with what AI was able to separate and somehow improved the vocals.(?) Speaking of vocals, a verse intended for a 2006 remix project, performed by Lady Locc, was added.
I'll add the original track at some point so you can A/B with the 2025 version. Just takes a few seconds to hear the quality disparity between the two with the leap in production value of the remix. For now, the original version is available here:
