This is a fully acoustic version of a song that I've recorded in various ways. I finally decided that the words are important and decided to do it very simply.
This song has changed almost entirely from when I first conceived it while walking, but the message is the same.
We pile up judgements,
'til you can't see out,
But deep inside,
I have no doubt:
Salvation, salvation's here!
Spirit comes to teach us,
About three things.
Two make me cry and
But One makes me sing:
Salvation, salvation's near!
The first is sin,
It poisons the air.
That fills our lunges,
'til it lives in there
Come lend me, come lend me your ears!
Second comes judgment,
It's Summoned by sin.
'til you can't get out,
'Cause you're trapped within.
It's the mother, it's the mother of fear!
Why not live where the judgements taken,
By the Lord of Love?
Why not live where you can't be shaken,
'Cause you live above!
Thankful, Lord,
That you terrified me.
Didn't leave me there,
But you made me see:
Salvation, salvation's here!
Do the same for others,
Don't leave them blind,
To wake too late,
And never find.
Salvation, salvation's near!
I'm not better,
In fact I'm be worse.
If I don't try wake you,
To the curse:
Come lend me, come lend me your ears!
Jonah went,
To Ninevah town.
To wake them up,
'For judgement came down.
It's the mother, it's the mother of fear!
We Pile up judgements till we can't see out,
But deep inside I have no doubt.
Salvation's here.
