the original semi-mutant, quasi-guerrilla new orleans pop combo... muggy music and words askew, with a hey-na-nonny and a ha-cha-cha!
4 or five guys looking for liquor, love and laughs. . . then writing songs about it. Each brought together in new orleans by hook and by crook, to play a moody, muddy, almost moist music. They have a rhythm that smolders like a slow landfill fire, with words askew and music muggy. Playing high and low, using whatever is left over from the night before, they tear into their sounds, (which are somewhat found), with an emotional ferocity few have mastered! Come hear for yourself, that witty and charming band about town...

Story behind the song
a jaunty little jalopy plea to get away from it all... employing the mandolin, the grabber bass, drums, and some especially shaky vocals. done on the porta-1 one rainy new orleans morning...
Lyrics
* don't you think that the weather is fine dear? lock up the house, we'll go for a drive... 1) we been working real hard, with the days too long, we've got to get away. jump in the car, bring the dog along, everything can wait. * don't you think that the weather is fine dear? roll down the windows, we'll go for a drive... 2) just you and me, and marley makes three, we can't leave her behind. here's a map we won't need of the places we'll see,we're going for a ride... * don't you think that the weather is fine dear? roll down the windows, we'll go for a drive... (pianny solo!) 3) marley's in the back, got beatles on the box, not a cloud up in the sky. there's some wine in my sack, and a lil' bit of pot, (as long as you don't mind). later we'll stop long enough to eat beneath a shady tree. and if it gets hot, we can fall asleep, fall in each others dreams... * don't you think that the weather is fine dear? roll down the windows, we'll go for a drive...
