Story behind the song
Greek and Roman Mythology was a 'go to' place for inspiration on early Peter Gabriel / Steve Hackett period of Genesis recordings.
Here I've taken the story of Narcissus and Echo as the starting point for this instrumental.
As you'll know, Narcissus rejected Echo in favour of his own reflection in a pool. To further enhance the dreamy quality of the tune I've included the sound of lapping water.
