Lyrics
In our King’s garden I am nothing at all Just a poor peasant farmer Outside your castle walls Since our chance meeting we both agree was fate You’re disenchanted now with your world inside the gate And as you’re watching me working in the sun You drop your letters down I’m catching every one Short guitar solo From my cottage window I see your candle light I know you’re all alone now Writing to me in the night Could you be in waiting A lady for the Queen Or Maybe you’re a princess someone in between Reading all of your words You say you long for me We’re growing closer now to what our fate will bring solos Could you be in waiting A lady for the Queen Or Maybe you’re a princess someone in between Reading all of your words You say you long for me We’re growing closer now to what our fate will bring Our time is upon us In the darkness of night Just send me a signal With your candle light I’m ready to come for you Have no fear at all I will climb and crawl to you Over your Castle walls

I think this is one of your best mate, kicking things off with the flute was an inspired choice, the Hammond and piano with the rhythm guitar is classic and the quirky lyrics and proggy production nails it. Well done.

I really like the guitar fills and "nooks and crannys" as I tend to call them. A very good sounding vocal and cool guitar solo and lyrics with a pro production. Nice!

Love the flute intro! I haven't heard you play it much, but it sounds absolutely great. Very nice tune in the lead vocal, love how the piano backs the vocal tune. Very nice bridge with the unison theme. Guitar solo is top notch. A very nice song about love across castle walls.

Another lovely melodic song, I like those little guitar fills in there and your solo. Production is top notch as well, a very good listen, as usual ;)! P.S. Enjoy the summer, of course it's the opposite here, day time around 14C and nights 4 to 8. Cool enough for me! Take care mate, Mauri.

So, you've got one more pearl for your classic rock crown, Dale. )) I liked the short but still fresh acoustic guitar line in the middle part of the song.

Excellent song. Love the intro with the flute and organ. The song flows beautifully along between the different sections. Super subject matter too. I really enjoyed this Dale. Great song you've created.

There's that chilling organ and rockin' flute to boot ;) Great story in lyrics. Reminds me a bit of Al Stewart - uplifting melodic song Dale!

Excellent piece of progressive rock Dale! Interesting story line that generates good imagery. Solid vocals with a very cool musical arrangement. Loved the guitar solos, the organ tones and I think harpsicord in the last solo? It's a lot of work from start to finish on this one, but time well spent. The ending came so suddenly...another solo and fade out would have let me down more gently as I didn't want it to end. I envy your motivation and efforts to keep the music alive. Thanks for the heads up and congrats on a song well done!
