My intention was to write a modern Pop/Rock protest song in the style of 'The Skids'... something with a very 1980s angry kind of 'vibe'. All my lyrics were eventually discarded apart from the very last part of what was the 'chorus''.

Something with a very 1980s angry kind of 'vibe' was my original intention. I've just retained only the very last part of the lyrics from what was the song's chorus. I think it has just the right amount of lyrics to still give a message of frustration and anger.
