SHADOW APATHY: The Inspiration Behind This Project…

This piece started out to be an attempt at another POP song.
But, as I started playing… it seemed to have a more darker, and reflective mood. I tried to correct my impulses, and redirect it back to the POP thing.
Then after several attempts… I just decided to go with what I was feeling.

The world that we live in today… is quite different than the one that we’ve all come to know. Instead of reaching out to one another in a cooperative benevolence, the world is taking on a more abrasive and heinous tone.
Instead of the world becoming ALL inclusive, isolation… and an “us” against THEM... mentality seems to permeate the air.
A kind of mentality that is both stifling and oppressive to humankind. And, creates an atmosphere that fosters evil, conflict and divisiveness. A mentality that shuts out some, while expelling others. And, everywhere you look there is an endless barrage of propaganda promoting the NEW World Order.
So, as I wrote this piece… these were just some of the thoughts that ran through my mind as I put this together.

However, if one is a positive thinking person… one can view the present world view as “temporary.” Which allows us to see through the abundant chaos, bigotry, increasing intolerance, and beyond those in power who mightily seek to change the direction of the world in favor of their self-serving agendas. And, in being able to see past all this… there is HOPE.
The hope that we can both survive and fight past the madness to bring back sanity… and restore the love of ALL humankind once again.
