A song in loving memory of puppy Zeus
Zeus is a tragic victim of Breed Specific Legislation, his short life ended just over a year ago at the age of seven months old.
DDA Watch volunteers supported Zeus's family through the sad days following their painful loss of much loved canine family member Zeus who had never put a paw wrong. The words below from Zeus's mum clearly show the devastation caused by this inherently flawed and failed legislation, a law which is responsible for immense personal heartbreak for those affected.
''Missing my boy so much, still to this day my 6 year old cries about him and my 3 year old talks to a candle thinking he can hear him. BSL is such an evil system, to destroy little babies hearts as well as my own. Love my Zeus, never will we forget because we will always feel the hurt.''
DDA Watch assists families whose dogs have been seized and held under BSL and via a telephone helpline service, offer free, confidential advice and support.
As a singer/songwriter I believe some stories must be told and this is our song for puppy Zeus and the many innocent canine victims killed for the way they look.
