on a bright african plain
where the elephants do play
a lonely elephant named homer lived.
and on a dark savanna night
an angel came by light
to tell him of our dear redeemers birth.
and so he packed up his lil trunk
and he went out for a walk
to give the Savior his first present on his birthday.

now homer really didn't fit in
with his family or friends
so no one cared when he finally disappeared.
they just trumpeted a sigh
and figured it was about time
that homer got along out there somewhere.

and went to ask him where he'd go.

homer felt so very dumb
