Story behind the song
I discovered the songs by The Orange Alabaster Mushroom a couple of years ago. Originally a 'one-man-band', Greg Watson (from Ottowa, Canada) recorded his songs onto cassettes. Some of the earlier recordings are quite 'lo-fi' as a result, but still pretty awesome. He obviously got some better recording gear later, as other songs are very crisp and cleanly recorded. He put a band together of like minded individuals and plays live; mainly I guess, in Canada. He has a uncanny understanding of the psychedelic 60's sound. I'm a big fan of his songs. Hope you like my 'interpretation' of this brillliant song. You may recognise part of a hit song by Sonny and Cher that I incorporated in my 'outro'.
