Story behind the song
I simply wanted to write a song that exalted the name of Jesus! The name that is above every name that is in heaven and on earth! You can hear the old school 70's r&b band sound that is similar to Earth Wind & Fire, The Average White Band and The Commodores. (Though My Own Personal Music Was Gospel As A Young Musician) As a teenager I listened to these 3 secular groups more than any other group and studied day and night their style, song structure and genius approach to their music which had a powerful broad appeal to the masses! Powerful and meaningful lyrics backed by powerful music from the heart! I wanted to have that same type effect on the masses, but in the gospel music genre to glorify God and his kingdom to come!
