I jokingly call this the lost single from the "Dark Side of the Moon" LP. It just sort of has a Floyd-ish feel to it, some great guitar licks and solid production work.
This was a song by Dave and myself that had a lot of collaborative work by John Tiger Ant (guitars, production) Joe Kenney (production). As soon as I heard the music I knew where I wanted to go with the lyrics and melody, Dave's music always illicits a strong response. I love Pink Floyd and this felt like I was listening to one of their tracks.

Let me Sleep
Music By: Dave Hensley
Lyrics by: Ron Rentz
Verse 1
There are watches there are clocks
At Stonehenge a pile of rocks
There’s computers and cell phones
The world has twenty four time zones
Each represents fifteen degrees
Or just one hour if you please
Exactly why do clocks have hands
Along with time there comes demands
And they will eat away your soul
And your illusion of control
Are you listening?
Chorus
Let me sleep…I beg of you just
Let me sleep…per chance to dream
Verse 2
There is no way to slow down,
The speed of light the speed of sound
And all the numbers you equate
Become the very things you hate
Think of all the time you spent
Caught up in anger and resent
You spent your spare time chasing wealth
And never took time for yourself
“Time is money” someone said
But moneys worthless when your dead
Were you listening?
Chorus
Let me sleep…I beg of you just
Let me sleep…per chance to dream
Lead
Repeat chorus
