Under the trees
cool breeze and shade
living leaves rustling
and bustling, each blade
looking skyward at sky
and surrounding faces
searching the eyes
for far off distant places

In the park
now it's dark and cold
with the mark of ages
the pages yet untold.
The morning sunlight
peers through the branches
looking westward
over mankind's chances

We remember the park
the places of beauty
when toiling with labor
responsibility, and duty
so remember the park.
