Story behind the song
Back in June I began working for the Obama re-election campaign. I also began a song around the same time to address the situation we, as the people, were and are facing, on the national scene; basically being outspent and the projected apathy amongst Democrats and Independents. Of course there is disillusionment for Government. Most of us can see the vast differences in compassion and conscience bet President Obama and the other guy.

two wars and big business stole more than we could spend.
Presidential hopefuls fought like crazy to win that bid,
some say, you gotta be crazy to really want this gig.

You became our president, you went all the way,
broke down some old barriers for a brand new day.
When you got to Washington, the Union broken down,
wars and economy in pieces on the ground.

The congress itself refused to work with you,

Millions of people just laid to waste,
they’ll wait four more years, till you can be replaced.
