Story behind the song
Amelia was the first Flying Fox. On her last quest she was flying around the world. On her last flight from Lae New Guinea she radioed that she was having trouble finding Howland Island, a small strip of sand in the Pacific. She was close but never made it, and she disappeared from this earth but not in our memories. Her flying license was 6017.
The airplane in the picture is her Lockheed Electra, the hand is a picture of a her hand print, she had made.
In the song it ends without resolution of the last note, this was my effort in symbolism, as she never made it to Howland Island.
