Written and composed by John Wolmarans. The song is performed by Chrystal and John. Currently one of the most requested song on one of the local gospel radio stations.
One of Chrystal's vision is to develop young people in the music industry. When she decided to record her third album, we decided to bring in some young blood and create a development opportunity. We asked John Wolmarans to write a fresh and viby song and he did just that. He wrote the song from personal experience as a young man. Their performance on stage is immaculate and the audience just love it. A must to see.
Where would be
If You didn't come and resque me, if You didn't come deliver me
From my sins
Now I give you the praise
I praise you for eternity
Until this whole wide world can see You're my King
(rap)
Where do I begin, I was caught in a wave of sin
I wanted worldly things but I was still empty within
My goal was to win the whole world, but I lost my soul
My life was beginning to spiral out of control
Then I heard a story about a Saviour who died for me
He got beaten, shed His blood and He cried for me
He didn't have to but He laid down His life for me
Now that He saved me thankful is all that I can be
Cause when I think without You, Lord where would I be
Par1 (Where would I be)
(rap)
Gratitude is my attitude towards You
Cause only You knew what I was going through
My life had no purpose without You
But all have changed when You came to my resque
You gave my life meaning, a purpose, a goal
You revived my spirit and You cleansed my soul, yes you cleansed my soul
(Singing)
You made everything new when I called on You
the day I fell down on my knees
Lord I needed You so I cried to You, Jesus won't you please
(Rap)
Come and resque me, set me free
from every little thing that is binding me
That's when Your Holy Spirit broke me free
The very first time that You spoke to me
And I will never forget what You told me
that you love me , forgive me and You'll always hold me
In your arms, You told me I'm Your Child
That was the day that You and I were reconciled
Where would I be...
