The picture you see, is me and the love of my life for 33 years. We have weathered just about every kind of storm you can imagine, and are still together. :) Hasn't every marriage gone through this?

Story behind the song
Performed with permission; composed by David Lunbeck and Tammy Swindell I always liked this song since David and I worked on it around 4 years ago. I hope I have brought my own particular flair to this song; NOT to make it "better" but to make it my "own". Every marriage has it's troubles, problems, but if the couple chooses to stick together throughout the good, the bad, the ugly, and even the worst that life has a tendency to throw at them; I firmly believe the marriage will bond together for a lifetime. Might as well keep what you have; you could do a whole lot worse than you once had, and you don't know what you really have until it's long gone. Enjoy the listen. :)
Lyrics
She is the reason D A She always talks about how hard life is Bm Bm A G /A/D And how people just let you down D A She always talks about having her dreams Bm Bm A G Come crashing to the ground A G D/G She hangs her head in resignation A G A/D And wishes for some kind of salvation D A I always talk about moving away Bm Bm/ A/ G /A/D And starting over somewhere else D D A And I always talk about about great big schemes BM A G As if I am living on a little shelf A A G/D/G I always talk like life has passed me by A G/A/D She says it’s not true not this time Chorus : D Bm Gbm Maybe it’s my fault for making her feel G A Like the bars on my cage D Bm Maybe it’s my fault Bm Gbm For making it seem G A That I don’t want her to stay G D/D7/Em She is not my prison Em D7/ G A/D/G/D She is the reason, the reason that I pray We used to talk about the future As if we would last forever We used to talk late into the night And tell each other undercover Even if they say it’s a crime We will not pass we will survive So what became of us Lovers in june Now there’s a cool loneliness that fills the room Can we still be like this Can’t you see baby You’re the one is miss She hangs her head in resignation And wishes for some kind of salvation
