Slow soft acoustic unplugged Pop Gospel Ballad track! Great honest and sincere lyrics that touch the heart and soul. A hooky chorus and attractive bridge and raw ripping guitar solo's anchored by sweet harmonies. Powerful song and testimony of faith!
This raw torched acoustic ballad song was inspired from a sermon i preached on a Sunday. Taken from the book of Joshua chapter 24 verse 15 where Joshua challenged israel to choose between God almighty and the false Gods of eygpt. About a week later after that sermon i woke up in the wee hours of the early morning singing the song out of my sleep! In fact i was singing the song in my dreams as i strummed the guitar chords. I quickly arose and ran into my office, grabbed my guitar and started to sing and play the song automatically as if i had known it already! I felt goose bumbs as i wrote the lyrics down and i knew this song was special! I was almost finished with my 2011 Cd, but i was strongly compelled to add it to the album. So i recorded it and put it on the album in place of another song. It immediately became one of my favorite tracks on the Cd because of it's raw sincere and emotional appeal. A song every "TRUE" Christian can relate to!

( 1st Verse )
This is the day
the day that the lord has made
i will rejoice in it
rejoice and be glad
i decided long ago
to trust and follow him
can't nobody turn me around
cause i heard the scripture say
( Chorus )
choose ye this day
choose who you're gonna serve
as for me and my house
we're gonna serve the lord
( 2nd Verse )
worldly things don't mean that much to me
my Jesus gives me life more abundantly
yes i love him because he first love me
i'm not ashame to tell the world
the way that i believe
( Chorus )
choose ye this day
choose who you're gonna serve
as for me and my house
we're gonna serve the lord
( Brigde )
everyone must choose
what you're gonna do
theres only one way
you gotta choose today
( Repeat Chorus )
choose ye this day
choose who you're gonna serve
as for me and my house
we're gonna serve the lord
As for me and my house
