A moody rock ballad...with a John Lennon Beatles groove,Sometimes we lose early symbols of our lives that we may have taken for granted and only untill its too late do we realize how important they were. and how changes are not always for the best.
Youngstown Ohio took a devasting economical hit when its Steel mills were closed down in the 80s.
When I returned to Youngstown In the middle 90s,it really effected me when I saw what happened to the town, especially to our small but filled with memories, amusement park.....Idora Park......I knew instantly these feelings had to be a part of a song. The song was written in a very short amount of time and remains one of my personal faves.
IDORA
Lead Guitar - INTRO
verse Its only just an image of a place
That I once knew
A photograph of me and you
in 1962
And somewhere in our life
we lose our yesterdays
IDORA
verse The sanctuary carasel
Stand in line to take a ride
We're leaning on the "Funhouse " gate
Hearing all the joy inside
coz somewhere in our life
we let it grow away
IDORA IDORA
BRIDGE Life is often like a rollercoaster
Tossing us around to and fro
How'd we ever get
to where we're going
I dont know?
REPEAT LEAD GUITAR INTRO
verse And now it sits a lonely shrine
of all the things it could have been
A beacon of my past
reminding childhood friends
Everything we love will always slip away
IDORA IDORA
Everything we love will always slip away
IDORA IDORA
LEAD GUITAR SOLO - slow fade
