Story behind the song
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. Job 33:14-17
Much more can be understood in Job 33. The revelations of dreams and visions of trances is communion with God and receiving instruction from Him. The heart of man is open to God in this part of the spirit realm. From dreams we learn the error of our ways and what God searches our hearts and speaks to us about. Terrible dreams are God's way of warning us of things to happen and things within us. They are where God blesses us and speaks to us of his promises and so much more. I pray that you learn to pray in the Spirit and without ceasing so that you so not depart from the Spirit realm the way of the Spirit of Truth. Do not consider these things strange.
