Story behind the song
Fear can be SO debilitating for the believer----the enemy's native tongue is LIES and it is sometimes hard to differentiate between the Truth and the lies. THEN, we open the Word and the Truth comes flying out dispelling all fear. The Bible tells us that we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind (II Tim.) and that Perfect Love casts out all fear----God is that Perfect Love and the mere mention of His name causes the demons to flee...powerful! Isaiah has always bee one of my favorite books and I wrote this song while my mom was battling cancer. It was a source of great peace for her and I pray that the Lord will use it in your life, too. His word does NOT return to Him void---it does what He has sent it forth to do.
