The un-bound energy of Brent Bain's delivery is companion to his ability in articulating ignored truths through his lyrics. Topics regarding economy, politics
After spending 5 years performing politically charged music around the world Bent Brain has returned to Canada having fused content focused progressive folk rock with infectious world rhythms. Interweaving tones of jazz and folk unfold into the inimitable sound that is Bent Brain. The song writer Brent Bain has performed on the stages and streets of cities all over the world. A successful Busking tour through Australia and Europe afforded Brent the chance to perform at a number of memorable venues including: Mahogany Hall (Bern, CH), The Great Northern (Byron Bay, AUS), Moosehead (Paris, FRA), Werkstaat (Chur, CH), The Palace (Toronto, ON), and the Epcor Centre for Performing Arts (Calgary, AB). The un-bound energy of Brent Bain's delivery is companion to his ability in articulating ignored truths through his lyrics. Topics regarding economy, politics, communication, revolution and a bit about love. The rhythmic and staccato styles of Brent’s guitar and vocals are complimented by the incredible dynamic of the band. Members include Snappy Homefry aka. Snappy (Bass), Ben Harrison aka. Dynamo (Keys) and Brad Park aka. Dirty B (Drums / Percussion).

Story behind the song
This is a perspective on the urban vs. rural lifestyles. Both are Dreams & Nightmares to some. The same applies on an international level.
Lyrics
Over, up, higher than before This is not like anything I saw I hover far above the ground I see specs of green but mostly brown The horizon is dotted with concrete dreams & Nightmares Patriotism blows back and forth in the wind Pride with her silent voice waving Her colours visible from a distance, piercing the horizon with her chivalry As stranger stares from a far a phobic traveller glare at the stars Where he exists will capture him This is where his life begins He knows his place and he loves his home This place is where his feet may roam Guided by the vengeful sun, enter the garden and grow as one Patriotism blows back and forth in the wind Pride with her silent voice waving Her colours visible from a distance, piercing the horizon with her chivalry ---
