A performer since the age of 9, I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to fill most of the dreams I've ever had with music. Starting out with my family, I sang for ten years, then went to college as a music major. Along the way I taught myself bass guitar, guitar and keyboards. After college, I played in bands for years then got the chance to work in studios in St Louis and Kansas City. I've also written reviews for regional music magazines, a weekly music scene column for a local paper, had a music PR company, worked for indie labels as well as owning one of my own. Now, in my early 40s...a father to three step-childrena and a young daughter...music is less a vocation than a passion. I hope to get back to performing more eventually, but for now life is for living. There will be time to reflect on it in song later. I hope you enjoy the music you find here. I'm excited at the prospect of being able to bring it to you.

Story behind the song
Our pastor once told me he wanted to hear a song that dealt with the idea of "dying to self". The thought generated the beginnings of a song.
Lyrics
(chorus) I find peace, I find joy, I find hope in You I find the answers for what I’m going through I find the strength to hold on I find the right in the face of wrong And the self I thought I’d lost I find in You Letting go of the need to have my own way Flies in the face of all that I feel Dying to self means finding true life Means moving from fantasy to something that’s real (chorus) Shadows come and shadows go But the light of your love never fails And walking down this path I know I’m not alone And compared to your blessings my best effort pales (chorus X 2)
