Excellent melody and harmony in the classic sense of the concept, which so many songs lack!
Great vocals, harmonies, and song. Walking bass line makes for very much enjoyment. Great tone on the lead playing. Very tasty, flowing and appropriately executed, leading into great modulations keeping it very interesting.
Love the style of genre which is probably my favorite!!
Blessings and HALLELUJAH my friend!!!

Cool melody.Rhythmic foundation is solid.A little distortion at the begining (a think it's the sampled/synthisized sax) that magically cleans up,-actually after this instrument is coming out.You know how much I love your Beatley songs,-this one is not exception.Likey!!!
Thanx for your comments on "Julia".Snow is comin' and going here,-pretty unusual.Starting to think that something is really screwed up there in Heaven's weather dept.
Sorry to hear about the flu,-hope it's nothin' too serious, and that you'll soon get well.
Best!

Thanks Tammy and Rich. I finally figured it out. I had a really distorted/garbage accoustic guitar track. Never thought to check that since the accoustic usually records very clean. Great to have some other sets of ears on these mixes. I think sometimes we miss very obvious things from being too close to the mix ourselves.

.....And just like you remixed, I deleted my original comment. LOL!!!
Ok, it could be the effects on the string instruments...I'm hearing a "sandy" sound just in the beginning bars...but then it's gone by the time you finish the intro.
That's ALL I'm hearing, Tony..the rest is fine, really. :)

Tony,
nice vocals and harmonies on this song ,
The lyrics seem like an early beatles or Dave Clark 5 song , the bass is great . I really like the low part of your guitar solo towards the end cool touch . The only thing I would change is holding out some notes here and there a little longer ( on your guitar solo/leads )because they are all in the right places ( my personal taste ) I used to have a way to do that in audition by adding echo to the end notes ( editing ) In protools I have to stretch the note a the end , wish I could do both !
So are you now using the british horn section ?
and you have a bridge , I am so lazy about bridges , Tony gee is a master of the bridge , I just loose interest and throw in a guitar solo LOL.
overall the song is fine don't know what I would change if it was mine, I am experimenting with Horns myself and don't know anything about horn arrange ments and it is driving me Nuts ! I mean trying to keep everything in sync not distractii

I really liked the bridge on this one. The 3-part harmonies are really nice on the "she's not ready" part. The lyrics are great traditional Beatle type poetry that works well. Your voice sounds super. The guitar fills sound cool, too, just need a bit of reverb/echo to fit in with the rest of the mix. I would like to have heard the bridge a second time - its really interesting.
