Mississippi Vic (spud)
This started as a real (online) 'cutting heads' challenge to me, I got a track up, played 1st guitar movement and 1st twin leads, challenger dropped out, so several internet musician friends volunteered their talent to help me finish track.
This tune is from another internet band I played in (The Collaborators). Louie McNeil, Erin Simms, Morris Rainville, and myself. Song Writer-Gary Nicholson
A song penned and vocal'd by Erin Simms. Erin played piano then sent it to me, I built a soundtrack and I even got to sing a little backup on this one.
Just spending some time with my Tele at the house :)
A Public Domain classic, and one cool song to jam on. My friend Don Carroll from Texas joins me with his sax to 'Swing' that chorus. I even found an old 'Fats Waller' early 1930's voiceover to kick off with.
OK, this was a weekend of no sleep hahaha, Man I love this new amp. It is a Fender Super Sonic (pro tube series)
Hey I played keys/guitar on this one. Don Carroll played sax in last movement of tune, and this new version (first movement sax) is another fine sax player from Italy (Giancarlo Groppi) who is a member here at Soundclick.
All of these players are musician friends I met online at a music hosting site. We all had home studios and decided through emailing back and forth we would try to cut a song and make it sound like a live gig. ....we got close :)
JC, fast mix of of some guitar tracks I made for you to sort and see what you want Its some strange styles between Cajun Swamp, Memphis Sound, and ZZ top hahaha. actual tracks coming in Email
I was glad to be asked by Louie (Tunesmyth) to add some guitar/banjo work to this project he started. This is going to be a hot driving song he is cooking up when he gets it finished up. Watch for his final mix :)
I used every guitar and banjo I had on this one as I was looking for the sound I was after, I ran out of guitars (grin)
A fun style of 'tele playing. Whats chicken picking? Its guitar folk music on steroids. (grin)
No Setup on this one, I just didnt want to go shopping at the mall with wife, and stayed home to goof around on the guitar(grin). This jam is a tribute to 2 of my favorite guitar pickers, Chet Atkins and Doc Watson.
Anyone remember Alvin and the Chipmunks? Well this one is the Hillbilly Christmas version of that concept (grin). OK OK everyone has to have a goof off song, this one is mine :) ....besides, I had to try out this Banjo Santa brought me :)
