From San Clemente CA, The Stingrays formed in 1997 by then 13-year-old Will Heard, 13-year-old Scott Nelson , and 12-year-old Clay Campbell. After many shows and hard work The Stingrays quickly grew in the underground surf rock scene, making a name for themselves as a young energetic new skool surf band. They have played with a wide range of bands from surf legends, The Beach Boys and Dick Dale, to Joan Jett, Jack Johnson, Green Day, NOFX, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Suicide Machines, No Doubt
