Very Celtic music played by a dedicated Band. Traditional songs and tunes plus original compositions combining their own multinational backgrounds whith the Cel Band members: Heidi Sigfalk (violin, viola, guitar, voice), Stef Sigfalk (guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, concertina, voice), Andreas Aeppli (bodhran, percussion, voice), Brendan Wade (uillean pipes, whistles, guitar, voice).
Classical and Traditional North American , Celtic, Irish and Kletzmer tunes played on mandolin, with guitar and fiddle. ne day I got a beautiful mandolin myself. Where the streams of Scandinavian and Celtic musical traditions meet and mix. We are inspired by the roots and branches of traditional nordic and celtic folkmusics, and we enjoy blending fiddle, flute, nyckelharpa, banjo, octave mandola, etc. in unique and original arrangements for contemporary listening audiences and dancers.
Acoustic, electric, ambient, soundscape, instrumental...maybe a little shoe-gaze... I'm basically a solo act. I do mostly instrumentals - my lyrics are 'undeveloped', and I don't sing very well (less so as I get older!). At first I was doing a lot of studio time, then more live & open-mic thing, now back to studio. With the lack of performance opportunities, I've gotten back toward songwriting and recording, which is very gratifying, though I admit I really like performing!
