An alternative soft rock and punk band from the suburbs of Chicago Decoy was started in the fall of 2001 with John Strand and Mark Sutor meeting up. They were both pretty new at their instruments and decided to start playing together. Soon after they both knew they needed to find a guitarist and found one of Mark's old grammar school friends, Steve Cielinski. They were now writing songs and practicing constantly, but the last part was needed. Mike Lach now came to the band for the vocals....
