Hey, so lots has been happening lately with me joining a band that has some pretty high goals and what not. Sorry to all of you guys for not updating my site since August, I guess, when I stuck Halfway Around the World on there (was it August? maybe it was before then, even). I'm not sure if I'll be recording anything anytime soon for this site, since most of my writing has been revolving around my band. That and school work are pretty killer. Simon Daum, New Age Classical Composer and pianist Simon Daum is a young composer from Germany. His musicial training includes two years of piano lessons which he took when he was about 8 years of age. In addition to that he also played the trumpet for a few years. One of the reasons why he stopped taking piano lessons was because he wasn't satisfied with playing songs 'which everyone was playing'. Composing has always been his greatest love. Although Simon can barely play songs...
These are my thoughts, my dreams... this is the music in my head. I compose and produce because if I don't I am incomplete. Life is experienced through so many different perspectives & most of the pieces I write are, in one way or another, a representation of my experiences or those of friends. To that end, I would like to invite you to send me your stories, as they are often my muse.
There is one way that I can express my feelings and that is through music. All of the thoughts and emotions inside must be expressed somehow.
Berne Union High School Band Program Berne Union is a small school located in Ohio, in the US. Our program includes the Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Brass Ensemble.
