Contratempo, naix a principis del 2004 amb un disc sota el braç, heretat de BRJ Ska Sounds -'Contratempo-Brj Ska Sounds' (Jamaican Memories)-; i amb la illusió de fer la música que ens agrada, la música jamaicana en algunes de les seues variants i evolucions: ska, reggae, rocksteady, early...
