A solo effort here. All sorts. Blues, Rock, Jazz, bit Country too sometimes. Experimental even. Not so much in the past but I grew up a bit. I'm just a muso who is passionate about music. I love performing and writing and would do this full time if it paid the bills. (Dammed reality) I play Bass mainly but do a bit of playing around on guitar as well. I play live in two bands. My influences: Steve Hackett, Andy Latimer, Robert Fripp, Steve Howe, but also Herbie Hancock. My all time hero (musically speaking) is Todd Rundgren.

Due to his involvement in the music industry, it was thought the name Andrew Smith would do nothing for his image as a recording artist. EMI Records in London suggested that seeing as he was a Country singer he needed a Western style name, so he was bestowed with
Delta Blues. Original blues with a bit of Kiwi thrown in Dr Hoos Blues Band was formed as an excuse for some mates to jam. After a lot of jamming with various musos the line up got solid. We did a gig at a surf club and that was that. We wanted to play even more. A gig here and a gig there got us out there and we lasted three years before events changed and the band sadly, folded up. There is another band in the pipeline with a similar Delta blues style on the way. And then some.
