Music opens up the soul. There's better way of expressing the creative almost spiritual flow that connects us together than through music.
Richard Santos is a songwriter /musician living in Tampa, Florida. Richard first became interested in music after watching the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show on his 10th birthday, February 9th, 1964. Richard got his first guitar at 12 from the local Sears store and got together with other elementary school mates to form a band called The Catbirds.
Richard's music is inspired by The Beatles and other 60's & 70's groups such as The Beach Boys, Bread, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and the great Motown artists such as The Supremes, Temptations, etc. Richard then became interested in guitar hero's such as Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and other guitar greats and Blues artists of that era. You can clearly hear the Beatles influence in his music. The songs seem to have a John Lennon /Beatles style. Richard said "They seem to automatically come out that way probably because of my love and admiration for their music".
