Hello michael. Thanks reply. Because I do not understand usage of this site well, I write the same thing in many places. I'm sorry. *********************************************************** I think that your opinion is totally right. You should record the sound of the guitar amplifier with a microphone. Your sound is not bad at all now. Perhaps You had better buy a product such as follow. YAMAHA/AUDIOGRAM6 http://www.yamahasynth.com/products/audiogram/index.html It bundled recording software. You can prepare recording system just to buy this. You connect a microphone to this and record the sound of the guitar amp. How to use cubase (recording software) can support me to some extent. It is a price of around 180dollars in Japan. Of course there are a lot of choices. However, at first you buy a handy product and should be used. Sorry, it seems to be a sales message of a musical instrument shop : ) Ryu

Well, you listed off alot of things I either have and use or atleast used in the not so distant past. The Shure sm 57+58 are great mics always to have. I had those and just over the weekend I upgraded both. Now I use a Shure Beta57A (Instrument Mic) and Audio Technica AT3035 (Vocal Mic). I have a usb interface, that seems to be the way to go. But I use sonar 8 Producer because my songs don't always have acoustic in them. Oh one hint that took me a while to figure out, if you have a bad recording sound when micing your amp, try different angles and distances from your speaker. It makes a world of difference, I moved my mic 1cm off center and angled it a bit and now it sounds amazing. Have a good one.

I got your message, as of right now all I have up is just one tune that I recorded. I did all tracks in one take because I just wanted to figure out how to record lol. Anyways the result wasnt bad... although the quality on soundclick is worse then the actual song. I'll have alot more things coming when I get the hang of recording. Thanks man for the add, and I hope you find a way out of the rut! Ihavent checked your tune out yet I was just reffering to your message.

Relax! I know my song is dreadful. I've been playing for years but I'm in one of the worst ruts of my life. My playing has gone nowhere for about 12 months and I can't even remember what sort of music I like. Soon I will buy some recording gear and some way of putting together backing trax but right now I'm checking out all kinds of music sites looking for that whatever that will break me out of my rut. Patience.
