Hi Ron, thanks for your message. No new music up at the moment - been busy with all kinds of other stuff. Hope to record more songs later on this year. Thanks for the add on Superstition...Bobby Mack couldn't get Stevie Wonder to sing for him on that track, so he had to put up with me instead, lol :D

Hi Ron, thanks so much for your kind reviews and station add! :) You mentioned about mixing the vocals - I'm still old school and I don't use computers for recording and only rarely for mixing. I record vocals like they are live - I use a Shure 58 stage mic and a presonus pre-amp. I mainly make sure there's no distortion by just mic technique when I'm singing. I record through a Mackie analogue mixer and on to an Alesis digital hard drive recorder. I then have various compressors and a Yamaha Rev 500 effects unit to tweak the sound and get it to sit in the mix. Nothing fancy - all the units are ancient, lol! :D I'm not very technical, so I just play around with stuff until it sounds right. Catch ya later, Rodz
