I find it most enjoyable whenever I sing along to a song on the radio while I drive around doing my daily errands. And for someone who spends a lot of time on the internet and working from home, singing can be a stress reliever. It's a known fact that Filipinos love karaoke. It was only recently that I got to appreciate and understand why. It's something that I really can't explain. It's more of like a feeling rather than anything else. And with the karaoke tool, I found vocalizations to be much more satisfying. I got into this online karaoke site that allows you to record your karaoke songs. Now that's a big plus for me since I can then share it with friends and family. If you're interested you can check it out here: https://www.risingstars.asia?iuid=30917 Register and enjoy!
June 2005 was the birth of my then band, The Amandas. And just last June 2008, I decided to close its doors. It had been a good 3 years of music making and playing live at the gigs. An album was just starting to be made when conflicts of interest among members stirred up disagreements and disappointments. I learned a lot from that. And I'm just glad it's all over and done for. So now I am back to recording my own music at home. Collaborating with friends and fusing each other's music has been keeping me busy lately. I have found new energy in this new "project", which I hope will turn out to be a fantastic one. Once we have finalized a song, I will post the new band's name and our new music. Starting fresh again has been a huge relief. Everything that happened in the past has brought me here today. And I am thankful without any regrets. Cheers to a new start!
...tell me what's a-happening, what's the buzz... Sigh. Just singing along to the JCS musical. Anyhow, what have I been up to? This is, by the way, my first blog entry on Soundclick. I've been a member for how many years but I never really used this site to its full potential. Managing more than one site can be time consuming. But nevertheless, I want to update my friends over here about me. Things are going well with my band, The Amandas (www.myspace.com/theamandas) and we just finished two gigs for two consecutive days. Right now my eyes are swelling and I've been sneezing non-stop. In other words, I'm SICK! Boohooo. Got to get better ASAP so as not to conflict our other gigs. This gig thing... even after 2 years of singing in front of a live audience I get a little nervous. Which I take as a good sign. I do hope that what I have been pouring efforts on will have its reward. I don't wanna think that all of this will be for nothing. Hmmm, I have nothing else to say. Writer's block? Maybe. Or maybe my sniffles are clogging my thinking system. Ciao for now!
