The year 09' has been something like a urban round-up from the 80's, shit was nuts!!! Weezy, T.I, Gucci, Boosie among other got the cage treatment this year. How are the most succesful rappers always the only entertainers locked behind bars, you know damn well those rock and rock dudes always got dope and guns on em too!!!Look at Willie Nelsons Old ass (sorry willie)get caught in fucken Texas of all places with a bunch of weed and mushrooms and they let willie go.....On the flip Wu Tangs homies Streetlife and DJ Mathmatics get pulled over on a tour bus for going for going 67 in a 65 and all of em getted locked up, ironic? On the good side of Jail stories, however, "we" sot Shyne back on the streets again, even if it is in the country of Belize. If you dont know Shynes first joint will be on DJ Khaled album named "Victory" slated to drop in the next couple months. What the fuck is the deal with Rappers doing reality shows??? No offense but Fabo has one in the works supposedly and cmon' Son (shout to Ed Lover), you know you dont need to be on the fucken E network or some shit romancing some women, you already doing that anyways so i guess it'd be no difference. 09' was also a year of "comeback" albums from all of rap's heavy hitters. Jiggas album "BP3" was on point, different and true blue. Em's album "Relapse" did real well and showed Slim was still that crazy white boy with a chip on his shoulder. But one thing still grinds my gears..... OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW!!! No offense to the veterans out here but my stance is that this generation need to stand the fuck up. Got dudes rapping at the age of 40 out here and nobody 25 or under making a damn peep. Socially and musically we've gotten lazy, for the most part. People like Donny Goines, Donnis (not to be confused with Goines), Okwedrz among alot of other dudes doing their damn thing. Gotta say that im happy with the way Hip Hop is heading back towards the Tribe Called Quest days of knowledge/fun/tough and some other stuff thats witty (check OK out for sure). So as we usher in the new decade lets not only watch the ball drop lets watch the torch pass.
