I've also got a site where I'm posting my Classically-based music, also with some in more of a World music style. The site is called Michael's Workshop. You can go there by following this link: www.reverbnation.com/michaelsworkshop where you will find a player with several of my compositions in these styles. There's also a link to Michael's Workshop on Facebook.
Posted a new song I wrote called 'Clavileño' inspired by the story of that magical peghead horse. This song makes free use of different meters, having over 30 meter changes within it's 5 or so minutes. The challenge was to make it rock. With the help of drummer Don Shearer, I think we managed it. What do you think? You can listen to Clavileño at: www.reverbnation.com/michaelfarrell
Just posted a new version of my song 'Keep It True' at: www.reverbnation.com/michaelsworkshop Some of you may have listened to the version posted here on Soundclick on my Flying Frogs site - this for acoustic & nylon-string guitars and fretless bass. The new version is expanded and scored for Oboe, Cor Anglais, Cello, Steel drums and Sitar. Gives it a different flavor, I think.
'Michael's Workshop' is my new creative sandbox. For optimal listening, bring along a set of headphones. Crappy laptop (or worse, your phone) speakers really don't allow much of what's going on to come through!
