S.w.a.y. Vs. Superman

The "S" on my belt doesn't stand for superman.
It stands for S.w.a.y. and he's the man I am.
Superman puts on his cape and changes clothes.
My "S" is a symbol of my lifestyle and grows
with everyone more as women understand that
good guys still are out there. That's a fact.
Superman saves the day and leaves in a flash.
It may take months to prove not all guys are bad.
For those who don't know or have forgotten
what my name means and why I keep stopping
to interject in the lives of others like I do,
I'm S.aving W.omen A.ll Y.ear. It's true
that most members of the male gender are
not as mature as they say or they simply star
in an unfilmed script where they come equipped
to act out the part and quit when they're finished.
I'm one of a dying breed called faithful men
and before you know it I'm back in action again.
Do I have super powers...lol...no I can't say I do.
I plan to inform and remind some that love can be true.
The world would be in a sad state if stereotypes
couldn't be contained and defined as only hype.
Every rule has at least one exception and I...
I break the rule that says every man cheats and lies.
Didn't say I've never lied in my lifetime, but...
I would always prefer love at my side over my pride.
I may not be Superman, but I don't have to be.
I save women all year. I just have to be me.

Who I Am

Most of my blogs after this will contain samples of poetry or lyrics that I've personally written. To tell you a little about me, I'm a 23 yr old songwriter/aspiring singer from Nj. I tend to write toward the ballad and pop side of r&b. I love to sing, and I'm working on a demo cd as we speak. I've written out most of the tracks already and I'm about to start recording. My next blog will really tell you what my mindset is. If you feel where I'm coming from, any and all feedback/support is appreciated. Oh yeah, I'm not signed yet...so I'm free do collab with anyone I want to.
