"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, (or house churches in context) and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy 3:1-7 Amen....let us rise above these sins....and do beautiful works...Amen..
?10Jesus said to Peter, "He that is washed needs only but to wash his feet, but is clean every where and ye are clean, but not all. 11For he knew who should betray Him; therefore said He, "You are not all clean." John 13:10-11 Here Jesus says that "he that is washed, needs only but to wash his feet." How does one normally become cleansed? You take a bath....How does one become cleansed in Christ? You believe in Christ Jesus, you bathe in His truth.....you believe in the power of His Word, in His teachings, this is what cleanses us so that we can walk in agreement with Christ. Do you believe in Jesus, then we should be following in His example and doing what Jesus says with a servants heart. Everything starts with obedience. If Peter didn't let Jesus wash his feet, then Peter would have shown that he had nothing in common with Christ's mission. As we read later on, Peter denies he ever knew Jesus, so it was evident that Peter's faith was somewhat on the fence. But nevertheless, Jesus knew that Peter's spirit was stronger than his flesh and that Peter was going to repent, and come back and be strong for Christ mission. So Jesus says, you are clean, you just need one more example to show you Peter, you can't be proud and filled with the old nature, you must humble yourself and become selfless and to truly love." That's the hope of salvation, not to keep walking in our old nature, by complaining all the time, and saying bad things about people just because we don't get what we want.....and thinking of only ourselves. To be clean is to walk in our new nature with Christ, to have nothing to do with the thinking of the world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds that's in Christ Jesus. That's the hope.... What if we don't hear Christ message, and don't do what Jesus says, what would it be like? Jesus says, "not all are clean", for Jesus knew who should betray Him. He knew that Judas didn't have a change heart, or the right spirit, or have the same common goals of God's will. It was evident to Christ Jesus. But yet while He knew this about Judas, He still allowed Judas to spend his last meal with Him. You see the great love of Christ, giving Judas all the time, even to the last minute a chance to repent....Judas didn't believe in Jesus, and Jesus says, those who don't believe in me will die in their sins....this is heavy duty.... Friends, everytime we fall from grace, and behave contrary to Christ character....can you see what happens in our hearts? This stuff comes up, this hatred, this monster, something that is not of God's Spirit..... It's a little dirty spot, and God gives us a chance to see where our heart is at during these challenges or tests. Yikes, we thought we were holy and so good.... Judas didn't see the condition of his heart, Peter when he denied Christ he saw the condition of his heart, and he weeped so badly, he prayed, confessed his sin, repented for denying Jesus, his fear of what others think, and for his own life. But Jesus washed Peter's feet, He knew that Christ truly loved him and would forgive him. Judas didn't understand this love......If we confess our sins, God will heal us. The hope for all of us is to be fully healed, to recognize that we need Christ so badly, and keep on keeping on in Christ faith and love, and not to be friends with the world's character, but to be filled with God's character, His Holy Spirit, Jesus is our example.... Praise and glory be to God. reflecting, reflecting, Thank you God for the forgiveness sin, Shalom, Lory
?7Jesus answered and said to Peter, What I do you know not now; but you shall know hereafter. John 13:7 Friends, sometimes in life certain things happen to us, we don't always know why at first, but no matter what the circumstances are, Jesus is by our side, helping us to grow and to mature into Holiness. Jesus is saying to us. "what I do you know not now, but you shall know hereafter" Sometimes circumstances are going to be not what we woulld like it to be, but Jesus wants us to have faith and keep believing that there is something waiting for us, for it is God who is the finisher of our faith. We must keep trusting in Him...... One day, today, tomorow when you are going through some crisis or some opportunity comes your way, you will know that God's grace came upon you, whether He gave you peace or solutions, God intervened so that we can be saved......I didn't know that the pain I had endured through the years, was going to be used one day to speak and give hope about the life of Christ.... I didn't know then, but soon I shall know thereafter........the precious love of our dear Father in heaven, the forgiveness of sin, and my hope of Christ. Just like when Jesus needed to wash Peter's feet, at first Peter didn't understand, what does this have to do with God? Jesus received all His instructions from His Father and was obedient unto death on the cross. Do we really know why Jesus went to the cross? Do we really know why He came to show us the way? Christ is the doorway to God, and it is through sanctification, this sanctification sets us apart from the world for God....this sanctification is through Christ's very body so we too may have life in the Father. If you want to have life in the body we must keep our eyes and hearts fixed on the Son. He points to the Father, Christ shall be lifted up and everyone who believes shall have life with God, this is salvation. "What I do you know not now, but you shall know hereafter." Praise and glory be to God.....reflecting, reflecting, embracing our beautiful saviour! In Jesus name, Amen. Shalom, Lory
Check this verse out, ?46Jesus says, "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on Me should not abide in darkness." 47And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world." John 12:46-47 Here Jesus claims to be the Light that has come into the world. What does the Light do? It illuminates God's truth around us, the Light exposes our dark deeds, thoughts and motives...this Light of Christ exposes are sin nature, especially if we were to compare our lives next to Jesus......many people say that "it's impossible to be like Jesus,so why even try?" Friends, Jesus says that " nothing is impossible with God"....it's all about faith, just like producing music, it's all about faith, without faith we wouldn't even try to sing or produce a music Cd. The bottom line is, we would really have to love with our whole hearts and souls God and His truth to be like Jesus.....and it's all about surrendering our will to God....Jesus goes on to say "that whosover believes on Him." These are people who believe in what He is teaching, hearing and belieiving in His truth, abiding in His truth, etc. If we truly believe in Him, His light would be working in our lives.and shining through our hearts. So much as we "should not abide in darkness."..This darkness can be anything from having disbelief, to holding on to unforgiviness, etc. You see the hope we have in Christ, we should not abide in darkness, once we believe in the Light, we should be abiding in Him, in God, in the Light of His truth........ Now here is where people get confused with the truth....Then Jesus goes on to say, "and if any man hear His words and believe not in His Words, He won't judge him." Most people who don't want to change, use this verse for their promise and hope of eternal life......No where in the bible will you hear Jesus say that it's good to keep on hurting others ,etc, that is basically what sin is trespassing against our neighbors and doing unnatural things with our bodies, never does He say it's good to do bad things. Sometimes, even the best of Christians who are falling short of the glory of God, likes to use this verse for justification, when Jesus says, "I judge him not."We think we are off the hook, and say, "hey, Jesus doesn't judge." You know what, He doesn't judge us, and He is right about that, but do you know what is going to judge us? The truth will judge us...the Truth is a Light.....how have we heard the truth, how have we responded through His Son, God's words and life? How have we truly lived among our neighbors and fellow humans?Did we ever learn to love and receive God's love? The heart of Christ Jesus is not to condemn, or cast out, or kick out, but the plan is to redeem, restore, rebuild, return us to the truth in God..... and then Jesus goes on to say that "I came not to judge the world, but to save the world." Sometimes you see some christians going out there in the world, and they stand as a judge over you, looking down on you, making you feel like you are a dirty, unworthy soul, etc. The problem with that is, they are not perfect either and they need Jesus like we all do, Jesus didn't comdenm, but He told us the truth in and through His light and love. It is through Christ that we can begin to know how to love. Even though we are not perfect now, if we follow Jesus, we will be growing in the truth, and be changing into His Light, eventually the Truth will be living in us, and the truth is what sets us free. You know what, even the best of the best of Christians, no matter how much he or she tries to be perfect, their rightousness is still like filthy rags...that's why we need Christ to show us the way, it's by Christ's righteousness that we are saved, it's by His works we are redeemed and it's by His power we overcome our sins, so that we no lo
